Toddler/Preschool Program
The School for Little People (SFLP) believes each child, as a child of God, is worthy of love, acceptance, and support. By sharing our faith and teachings with children, we help them see themselves as persons of worth. Our program offers a Christian environment equipped to stimulate early childhood growth and development. To foster a positive self-image, activities are planned to encourage each child's acceptance of his or her own talents and abilities and the talents and abilities of others.
Each classroom will participate in Chapel Time once a week. Enrichment opportunities will be available through weekly classes in music and gross motor skills. Classroom activities will include daily art, dramatic play, language and math enrichment and center time.
Bridge Program
SFLP has designed a class for developmentally young five-year-old children who need the "gift of time" before entering Kindergarten. We recognize that all children grow and develop at different rates. Our Bridge class offers the link these children need from their four-year-old preschool experience to their kindergarten year.
Our goal is to provide a creative, stimulating, Christian, educational environment where each child can develop the kindergarten readiness skills necessary to become successful in future years of learning. This shall take place within an integrated curriculum in which language, reading readiness, writing, math, science, social studies, art, and biblical are all a part.
Our curriculum blends objectives from the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills) for kindergarten with basic pre-kindergarten objectives.
CAMP Stay and Play
SFLP also offers a one hour after-school camp for those children enrolled in our three, four and five-year-old program. After a busy school day, these children will have an opportunity to rest, socialize and play with their peers.
